Workshop design and Installation

We have extensive experience of designing and installing workshops for both new-build and refurbishment projects. Former contract work has included the foremost construction and educational furniture companies.

We can provide knowledgeable advice on the layout and arrangement of workshops to ensure that they are cost effective, efficient and safe - and, importantly, meet all legal and best practice requirements.

  • Design and installation, complying with BS4163 2014 power Regulations 2014 Health and Safety at Work Act DfE Builds Bulletins.
  • Electrical Installation Work in accordance with BS7671 2008, 17th Edition Wiring Regulations NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractors.
  • Our services include extraction, work benches and storage.
  • On a tight budget? You may wish to consider buying refurbished machinery.
  • Should visuals be required we can provide accurate 2D layouts, followed by high quality 3D imagery to prevent costly errors.

We know these projects can be complex and time consuming, but we seek to provide our assistance and advice throughout the whole project – this combined with excellent after-sales services ensures a smooth prompt fulfilment.

Refurbishment, Upgrade and Repair

Older high quality equipment may get written-off due to current safety regulations. Typically these have plenty of life left due to their light use and we can often upgrade them with new guarding or electrics – please contact us for an assessment.

Annual Health and Safety Inspection

We can help ensure that your workshops are running safely, smoothly and in compliance with relevant regulations and best practice standards with our annual servicing and inspection packages.

Comprehensive, written reports are provided for each machine inspected as part of this service. In accordance with the requirement of BS4163 - 2014 and the recommendations of the National Association of Inspectors and Advisers in Design & Technology, The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, POWER Regulations 2014.

LEV (Dust Extraction) Annual Inspection, through examination and report of LEV plant

We can design, service, test and certify dust extraction (LEV) systems to ensure that they meet relevant COSHH requirements.

Our technical engineer holds P601, P602 and P603 proficiency certificates in LEV design and testing from the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS).

Wood dust extraction system and heat/fume extraction plant in accordance with the requirements of the COSHH Regulations 2002 (amended to 2004) Regulation 9.1 and HSE CoP HSG54/37 BOHS recommendations.

Equipment Removal and Relocation

Moving premises or re-organising your workshops? We can disconnect, move, re-position and re-connect your workshop equipment to your specifications and time scale.

Safety upgrades to workshop machines, including brakes, Emergency stop buttons, and machine repairs.

Installation of Injection Braking System to Workshop Machinery

Five yearly fixed electrical wiring Testing, Inspection and Report

As required by BS7671 2008 - as amended (can be spread over a five year period to suit budgets).

Annual Inspection Service and Report of Electric/Gas Cookers and Microwave Ovens

As required by BS7671-2008 as amended and Gas Safe certification Gas safety checks of fixed Gas pipework and appliances.

Annual Inspection and Report of Pottery Kilns and Equipment

In accordance with the recommendations of the National Association of Inspectors and Advisors in Design & Technology as required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, together with BS7671 - 2008 (as amended) and BS4163 - 2014.
